Ari's little brother or sister will join our family later this year!

The Kid

Looking extra cute this morning before our trip to the park.

I am adding some new video now of Ari in his ball pit. All he wanted was for Daddy to help him do flips, over, and over, and over. It should be the video at the top of the clip section to the right.

Boys Hike

Craig took Ari and the dogs for a hike down the road at the dinosaur hill in Fruita yesterday. It was sunny but cold so Ari got to try out his new winter gear from Mama and Zadie. Ari has been hooked on a new flavor of rooibos tea so Daddy brought that along for the walk. He is normally a sippy-cup guy but I had to dedicate one bottle to be stained by the tea. The others are being saved for the new baby.

Ari, Bubbe & Gramps

Craig and I are having a few very productive yet relaxing days at home while Ari is in Utah. Well, Craig is working of course but gets the day off tomorrow! When I spoke with my mom today Ari was dusting her furniture. If you know my mom you probably know that this means the kid can stay as long as he wants! Plus he is still going for the 12+ hours of sleep at night and a good nap. Speaking of cleaning, I am in the middle of the equivalent of a huge spring clean here. Some stuff is just too hard to do with Ari around and an extra 30 pounds. Also, I don't expect things to get easier anytime soon.

I found one more Halloween pic of Ari at Kairos, so cute.

Bed time & vacation for Ari

How sweet are my boys? Daddy and Ari had a little cuddle before bed tonight. Normally I put Ari to bed but tonight he only wanted Craig.

We are leaving first thing in the morning for Ari's first (solo) trip to Utah to spend a few days with my parents. We are meeting them half way and hoping Ari is good in the car. We have a bunch of stuff to do here at home while Ari is gone but also plan on lots of sleeping, going to movies and a big Sunday of football on the couch. We don't watch TV when Ari is awake so Craig will actually get to watch the Colts game without waiting for Ari's nap and even watch other games!

Time for a poll!

Do you think Baby #2 is a Boy or Girl? The poll is just off to the right. We are split at our house, I think boy, Craig thinks girl, and I am pretty sure Ari is expecting a stuffed animal or doll. The poll for Ari was split so we'll see if this one is a little more insightful. We are set on a girl name which, in my opinion, guarantees us a boy. Fortunately though we have narrowed those names down to a top two or three.

Halloweenie

Yes, the kid is a lion again this year. I think we have made it official that he will be a lion until he tells us otherwise.

On Friday we went to All Hallow's Eve at The River Canyon Waldorf School. If we are still here in a few years when Ari is ready for school I definitely want to send him there. Not only for the amazing food and, as Craig noted, the highest concentration of men with beards in GJ, but because I really like their philosophy (click here for the scoop). I do feel that we are trying to get our kids to learn certain things before they are ready and that they need more time outside, learning by playing, and just being kids. Before I start to ramble though, enjoy a couple pictures of us with our little lion.

View

We still haven't gotten tired of the view from our home. After our Beaver Creek and now Monument views I have a feeling our next location may be a tad less exciting. Craig has now applied for jobs in southern CA, Vegas, Utah and of course our preferred location of Denver. Again, if you know someone at a high end golf course out west here, also Europe or somewhere tropical, please let us know.

Strong Beer

I really enjoy the fact that what most of us consider to be regular beer is labeled as Strong Beer in Utah. Ari just likes the box that it comes in. Well, he also loves to do anything he sees Daddy or Gramps doing and has a little bottle obsession. Don't worry, no beer was consumed by the baby in these pictures.

Visit with Aunt Joanie

Aunt Joanie came for a visit in September - very fun for Ari and the rest of us! Here are a few pictures from our trip to the Fun Factory.

Laundry & Missing Daddy

Here are some smiles for Daddy! Ari was helping Bubbe sort some laundry today and looking cute as always.
